What does Free include?

The Free tier gives you everything Google Tasks does — plus a smarter daily view. You can create, edit, and delete tasks; manage your task lists; add subtasks; set up recurring tasks with any pattern including advanced ones; move and reorder tasks; complete, reschedule, star, and search across all your lists; and use the Today view that collects everything due or overdue. Free does not include AI tagging, tags, saved filters, additional view modes (Board, Tags, Project, Matrix), priority scoring and effort ratings, voice add, or Google Drive attachments.

When can I try Pro?

After a couple of days of normal use — visiting on two distinct days and taking action on at least one task — a prompt appears in the Today view and in Settings → Account offering a 14-day Pro trial. The trial only starts when you explicitly activate it; nothing happens automatically. No credit card is needed to start the trial.

What happens when my Pro trial ends?

If you don't add a payment method before the trial ends, your account drops back to the Free tier automatically. Your tasks remain safe in Google. Pro-only data in TaskManage — AI tags, saved filter views, and effort ratings — is preserved and comes back the moment you subscribe. Nothing is deleted. Your recurrence rules, subtasks, and task lists continue to work exactly as before on Free.

Do my tasks stay safe if I downgrade?

Yes. Your tasks live in Google Tasks, not on our servers. Downgrading from Pro never touches your task data. Pro-only data like AI tags, saved filter views, and effort ratings is preserved but inactive until you re-subscribe. Recurrence rules, subtasks, and task lists all continue to work on Free.

Is this a replacement for Google Tasks?

No. It gives you a more powerful interface while writing supported changes back to Google Tasks. Your data stays in Google.

Will my tasks still show up in Google?

Yes. Core task data stays in Google Tasks and supported changes sync back. You can always use Google's own Tasks app alongside TaskManage.

Why does TaskManage ask for Drive access?

Drive access powers all of TaskManage's Google Doc and file features — all of which are Pro: task file attachments, linked Google Doc notes, and converting an over-limit note (over 8,192 characters) to a linked Doc when you confirm. Drive access is only ever used on your behalf.

Can I use it on mobile?

Yes. TaskManage.app is installable as a PWA on desktop and mobile. After you sign in online once, that browser can reopen your cached tasks while offline; your session and data refresh when you reconnect. Pro subscribers on mobile also get a floating microphone button — speak a task and it's transcribed and added for today.

What features are stored by TaskManage?

Power-feature metadata like recurrence rules, tags, archive state, and push subscriptions live in TaskManage because Google Tasks does not provide native APIs for them. Your core task content always lives in Google.

Can I keep using Google's own Tasks app?

Yes. TaskManage is designed to round-trip with Google where possible. Basic task edits made in Google Tasks or Google Calendar sync back automatically.
